Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maro Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cena might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to My time is now. John Cena could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Maro Bone's chin.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bone fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cena checks it well.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cena.
Cena shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bone as he avoids it easily.
Bone gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cena to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Cena is stalling in the full guard.
Bone has his feet on Cena's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Cena dives in and grabs Bone's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bone pushes down on Cena's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Cena. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cena fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Bone looks gassed!

Cena shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bone as he jumps to the side.
Bone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cena.
Cena shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bone napping and manages to drive through into side control!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bone is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Bone is trying to escape the position but Cena is controlling the position.
Cena has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

A combination from Bone does no damage.
Cena fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
No joy there for Bone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cena shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bone's guard.

Cena seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bone for as long as he can get away with.
Cena's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and Bone counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cena's guard now.
Cena looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
John Cena overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cena is on top in guard.
Bone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Cena sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bone's guard.
Cena is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Cena fails to land with a series of punches.
Cena shoots for a takedown but Bone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cena is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bone's half guard.

John Cena is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Maro Bone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cena is defended easily by Bone.
Bone clinches.
Cena is looking to control Bone's arms but Bone gets an underhook and turns him. Now Cena has his back to the cage.
Bone misses with some punches.
Bone swings wildly with an uppercut but Cena uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that's the end of the fight!
John Cena showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cena, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
