Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dwyane Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Ryder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Ryder is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dwyane Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Ryder! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Johnson fails with a takedown attempt. Johnson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ryder to the mat! Ryder manages to get full guard. Ryder wants to sweep here but Johnson controlling him for the moment. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Johnson slips nicely into half guard. Johnson is looking to stall here but Ryder recovers full guard. Johnsonis looking to pass into half guard but Ryder pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Ryder is in guard. Johnson wants to stand up but Ryder is controlling him. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryder lands a couple of digs. Johnson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ryder is controlling him. Ryder lands a couple of decent looking shots. Ryder lands a couple of decent looking shots. Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position. Johnson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ryder with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Johnson wants to stand but Ryder is controlling the position. Johnson is breathing heavily. Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ryder's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson trying to control but Ryder is working from the bottom. Johnson looking to sit in guard and control but Ryder gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ryder content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Johnson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ryder off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dwyane Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ryder but Ryder pushes him off and we're back to square one. Johnson gets caught flat footed, as Ryder shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ryder keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Johnson's head. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ryder's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Ryder makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacob Ryder dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Johnson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ryder scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Ryder sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard. Ryder is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Johnson is looking to escape. Ryder wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it. Ryder has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ryder looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Johnson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Johnson tries to kick Ryder off but Ryder keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ryder looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Johnson is trying to stand back up but Ryder is controlling him
Ryder slips a nice elbow through Johnson's hands, connecting with Johnson's forehead. Johnson tries to roll over but Ryder keeps him under control. Ryder takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ryder drops an elbow to the side of Johnson's head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryder stops Johnson from getting back to his feet.

Ryder lands with a punch from half guard. Ryder prevents Johnson from standing back up.
Ryder is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Johnson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ryder stops Johnson from getting back to his feet.
Ryder lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ryder wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy. Ryder working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Johnson is looking to escape. Ryder works his way into side control. Johnson is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryder in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Johnson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Johnson wants to get back to his feet. Johnson tries to buck Ryder off but Ryder is having none of it. Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Ryder is dominant here and he's now got Johnson's back! Johnson is trying to stand back up. Ryder lands a shot to the head. Ryder punishes Johnson with strikes from the back mount. Ryder lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Ryder.
Ryder connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Johnson to escape the position.

Jacob Ryder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ryder feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ryder stops Johnson from standing up. Ryder chips away with some ground and pound. Ryder lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Johnson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Ryder lands a couple of digs. Ryder stopping the sweep attempt from Johnson. Ryder shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johnson's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ryder is refusing to be controlled, as Johnson sits in half guard. Ryder trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Johnson manages to pass to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Johnson tries to control but Ryder wriggling away. Johnson throws some wild stikes that Ryder manages to avoid easily.

A close third round but Jacob Ryder just about did enough to take it. That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ryder takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Johnson has hold of Ryder's hands but Ryder slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Johnson wants to stand back up but Ryder manages to pass into side control.
Johnson is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Ryder scores with a couple of short elbows. Johnson is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Ryder cracks Johnson with a big right hand but Johnson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Johnson sneaks back into half guard. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Ryder stops Johnson from standing up. Ryder chips away with some ground and pound. Ryder forces his way into half guard. Johnson tries to kick Ryder off but Ryder keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Johnson kicks off Ryder and gets to his feet. Ryder shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Johnson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Ryder is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ryder works over Johnson with some ground and pound from guard. Ryder won't allow Johnson to get back to his feet.

Ryder is pressing down on Johnson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnson is holding on for now. Johnson is trying to stand back up but Ryder is controlling him

Ryder shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jacob Ryder is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Johnson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Ryder controlling his opponent. Let's hope that Ryder has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Ryder prevents Johnson from getting the reversal.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Johnson is desperately trying to improve his position but Ryder has a good base and remains in mount. Ryder looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dwyane Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Despite being in the dominant position, Jacob Ryder just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Johnson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And that's the end of the fight! Jacob Ryder comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ryder has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
