Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dean Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dean Martin ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Anderson! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Martin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Martin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Anderson sprawls well initially but Martin persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson is trying to get back to full guard. Martin working over Anderson with some ground and pound. Anderson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Anderson wants to improve his position but Martin is controlling well.
Anderson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Martin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Anderson tries to get to full guard but Martin has control of the leg. Martin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Martin uses his free foot to push down on Anderson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Anderson.

Martin throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Anderson is desperately trying to improve his position but Martin has a good base and remains in mount. Martin landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Martin misses with a head shot. Martin scoring with strikes but Anderson is staying in there. Martin tries to control but Anderson wriggling away. Anderson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Martin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Martin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Martin tries to pass to full mount but Anderson defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson is staying active underneath Martin , who seems content to just control the action from this position. Martin throwing shots but Anderson is blocking nicely. Anderson is in trouble now - Martin has advanced to mount! Anderson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Martin working the ground and pound effectively.
Anderson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Martin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Martin has Anderson pulled in close to control his posture. Anderson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Martin dives on top into guard. Martin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Anderson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Martin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dean Martin dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Martin wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving. Anderson wants to sweep but no luck. Anderson is looking to stand up but Martin isn't so interested in that idea. Martin throwing strikes but missing. Anderson pulls Martin in close to prevent any damage.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Anderson can do anything to dispel that myth.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Martin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Martin there as he acknowledges the shot. Martin keeps the fight on the outside. Anderson tries to clinch up. Martin slips a jab and a cross from Anderson.

Martin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Martin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martin moves into full mount! Anderson won't be happy about that! Martin wants to control the pace but Anderson is squirming around nicely. Martin working Anderson over with strikes here. Martin trying to control but he's not successful this time. Martin lands with some strikes. Martin unloading with bombs! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dean Martin dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Martin blocks a jab. Martin lands with a nice body punch. Anderson doesn't manage to clinch there - Martin circles away.
Anderson throws a nice looking combination but Martin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Martin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Martin moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Anderson tries to clinch up. Antonio Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheers as Martin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Anderson doesn't seem phased though. Martin swats away the attempt to clinch by Anderson. Anderson misses with a straight right. Martin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Anderson has time to react. Anderson has his takedown stuffed and Martin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Martin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Anderson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Martin is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Martin wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Martin advances position into side control! Martin working the ground and pound. Martin in side control, throwing shots but Anderson defends. Anderson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Martin asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Anderson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Martin connects with a decent elbow. Check out the look on Martin 's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Anderson struggling a bit here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Martin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Anderson momentarily.
Martin connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Anderson wants to clinch but Martin slips to the side and Martin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Anderson tries to work over Martin 's front leg with a kick but Martin checks it. Anderson fails with the takedown enabling Martin to counter with a crisp jab. Martin is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Martin scores a takedown into full mount! Anderson is trying desperately to improve position. Martin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Antonio Anderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Anderson tries to hold on but Martin pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Dean Martin showed his dominance in that final round. Well Martin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
