Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Coleman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman works over Adams's head and body with a nice combination.
Coleman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Coleman shoots in for a double leg but Adams sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A cross from Coleman lands.

Coleman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Adams to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Coleman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Adams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Coleman on the ground.
Adams wants to get up but he can't break Coleman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Adams stands up and waves to Coleman to follow him.

Adams decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Coleman clinches but Adams breaks the clinch

and Adams decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Coleman's guard.
Coleman is trying to control the position but Adams postures up.

Adams gets to his feet - Coleman follows without any prompting.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Adams.

Adams stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Adams darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Adams tries to stand and escape but Coleman is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Adams trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Coleman wants to control but Adams is keeping busy.
Adams tries to stand but can't do so whilst Coleman controls his leg.

Adams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Adams has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Coleman is proving hard to escape from.

Adams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Coleman was covering up waiting for the punch and Adams finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Adams gets to his feet. Coleman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Adams decides to stand back up.

Coleman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Adams wanted to stand there but Coleman had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adams decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Adams drives through with a takedown into guard.

Coleman is working an open guard so Adams takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Adams shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Coleman's guard.

Adams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Coleman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Adams has managed to get both his arms back between Coleman's legs - danger averted.

Adams stands up and waves to Coleman to follow him.

Adams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Coleman sprawls well initially but Adams persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Coleman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Adams pulls his head out easily.
Adams wants to stand up but Coleman is controlling the position.

Adams stands up and beckons Coleman to join him on the feet.

Adams gets to his feet - Coleman follows without any prompting.
Adams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Coleman.

Adams moves into the clinch successfully.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Coleman has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Adams should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Coleman has tightened it up now! Adams should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
