Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryusho Kobayashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Genaro Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz tries to clinch up but Kobayashi circles away and keeps his distance.

Ryusho Kobayashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Munoz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kobayashi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kobayashi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Munoz tries to avoid it but Kobayashi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Munoz to the ground. Munoz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Munoz wants to get back to his feet but Kobayashi drags him back down.

Kobayashi is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Munoz looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kobayashi gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Munoz is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kobayashi lets go of the hold and Munoz can pop his arm back in it's socket.
