Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rovan Turner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lucky Strike ! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strike tries to clinch but Turner is having none of it. Turner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Strike was covering up waiting for the punch and Turner finishes the takedown easily into guard. Turner is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Turner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Strike is keeping the position for now. Strike controls Turner momentarily but Turner frees himself. Turner has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Turner preventing the sweep. Turner decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Turner has Strike up against the cage in a clinch.
Strike is looking to control Turner's arms but Turner gets an underhook and turns him. Now Strike has his back to the cage. Turner lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Strike backwards. Turner misses with a knee to the head. Turner throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Turner has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Strike uses from the top position. Turner is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Turner landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Strike looks gassed! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Turner gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Turner dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Turner with a knee to the head.

Turner moves into the clinch. Strike takes an elbow to the temple. Turner connects with a knee to the head.
Turner unloads a knee to the mid-section. Strike lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Turner connects with a nasty looking knee right to Strike 's face.
Turner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Strike tries to clinch up but Turner circles away and keeps his distance. Strike takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Strike is rocked! Strike lands with a slapping head kick. Lucky Strike seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Turner drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Strike is still in real trouble! Can Turner finish him? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Turner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Strike seems to have recovered his senses. Turner postures up.
Turner stands up from Strike 's guard - Turner perhaps looking for a knockout. Strike tries a head kick but it misses.
Turner rushes Strike and presses him up against the cage. Strike swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Turner lands an elbow inside that Strike shrugs off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turner blocks an elbow strike from Strike .
Turner lands a nice knee to the body. Strike doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Turner is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Turner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Turner - that will leave a mark!
Turner forces Strike back against the cage and clinches. Turner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Turner closes the distance and clinches. A shot in the inside from Turner. Strike tries to break free but Turner pushes him back against the cage. Come on Turner - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Turner pulls guard successfully.
Strike won't allow Turner to get back to his feet. Strike trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom. Turner has a closed guard, preventing Strike from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turner is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner tries to land a sweep but no joy. Strike stands and steps away. Turner gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Some wild striking there from Strike .
Turner rushes Strike and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Strike has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Turner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Strike throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Turner counters with a straight right hand. Turner tries to clinch up. Strike gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Turner to score an easy takedown into full guard. Turner decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Strike , up you get! Strike stuffs the takedown attempt from Turner. Turner gets slowly back to his feet. Turner pushes Strike up against the cage in a clinch. Strike keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Turner's efforts to push away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turner tries a knee to the head but Strike blocks it.
Strike is trying to break the clinch but Turner is controlling him. Strike throws a head punch that misses. Strike is trying to maintain a safe position but Turner gets an underhook and turns Strike into the cage. Turner tries to land knees in the clinch but Strike avoids the damage to the body. Strike is trying to break the clinch but Turner has him pressed against the cage. Turner tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Turner breaks from the clinch.
Strike tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A combination from Strike does no damage. Strike tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Turner tries to clinch up. Strike tries to keep at a distance but Turner has taken the fight into the clinch. Strike creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Turner's defenses. Strike manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Strike closes the distance looking to clinch and Turner counters with a left to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Strike tries to clinch up but Turner circles away and keeps his distance. Strike doesn't manage to clinch there - Turner circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rovan Turner dominated that round. That's time! Turner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Turner circles away from the clinch attempt and Turner counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Strike ! Strike wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Strike tries to reverse the position but Turner maintains control. Strike is breathing heavily. Turner trying to control but Strike is having none of it. Strike keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner wants to control the pace but Strike is squirming around nicely. Turner goes for an armbar but Strike turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Strike . Strike trying to control the position from guard on top but Turner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Strike 's guard. Strike wants to sweep but no luck. Turner wanted to stand there but Strike had control of the position. Turner gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Strike tries to clinch up but Turner circles away and keeps his distance. Strike is looking to clinch but Turner is avoiding it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turner has taken the fight to the clinch.
Strike looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Strike escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Turner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Turner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Strike to the mat! Strike manages to get full guard. Turner stands up and waves to Strike to follow him. Strike tries to clinch there but Turner circles away.

Strike throws a series of punches but Turner avoids them all with ease. Turner throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Strike 's head. Turner circles away from the clinch attempt.
Turner moves into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Strike misses with an elbow over the top. Turner scores with a knee to the head.
Strike wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Strike tries to break free but Turner pushes him back against the cage. Strike is trying to break the clinch but Turner has him pressed against the cage. Strike tries to break free but Turner pushes him back against the cage. Turner is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Strike takes a knee to the side of the body. Strike takes a knee right on the jaw!

Turner would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Strike thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Turner gets to his feet - Strike follows without any prompting. Strike tries to clinch but Turner is having none of it. Strike throws a right and a left that Turner avoids nicely. Strike takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Strike tries to close the distance and clinch but Turner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Turner keeps the fight on the outside. Strike tries to close the distance and clinch but Turner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Turner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Strike sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Turner somewhat. Strike swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Strike tries to clinch but Turner moves out of range. Turner moves into range and clinches up with Strike . Strike takes an elbow to the forehead. Turner slows down the pace here.
Turner tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Strike avoids it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Strike is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Turner trying to control the position but instead, Strike has worked for underhooks and has pushed Turner into the cage. Turner working Strike over with knees to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rovan Turner dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Strike tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Turner paws at him with a jab and circles away. Strike throws a series of punches but Turner avoids them all with ease. Strike jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Turner walks away with a smile on his face. Strike gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rovan Turner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Strike clinches with his opponent.

Lucky Strike has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! With the fighters up against the cage, Strike throws an elbow but misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Rovan Turner showed his dominance in that final round. Well Turner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
