Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ty Lenol!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Walsh!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lenol will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Walsh scores with a jab.

Lenol gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Lenol.
Lenol lands with a left to the head.
Walsh wants to get back to striking at distance but Lenol won't allow it.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Lenol lands a nice uppercut.
Lenol drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lenol cracks Walsh with a nice body shot.
Lenol pushes Walsh back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Walsh wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Lenol wants the takedown. Walsh is fighting it off but Lenol persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Walsh's guard against the cage.
Walsh not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lenol throws and elbow that misses. Walsh uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lenol's guard. Nice move by Walsh!
Walsh postures up.
Lenol has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Walsh won't allow Lenol to sweep him here.
Lenol will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Walsh wants to control from the top but Lenol keeps moving.
Lenol tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Walsh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lenol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lenol is trying to keep Walsh in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lenol is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Walsh is trying to get back to full guard.
Walsh is not content to let Lenol control the position.
Walsh keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Walsh slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Lenol missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Lenol trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Lenol postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lenol wants to pass the guard but Walsh is keeping the position.
Lenol throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Walsh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Walsh lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lenol!
Lenol tries to reverse the position but Walsh maintains control.
Walsh trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Lenol swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Lenol is looking to get to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Walsh controlling the position easily from mount.
Walsh looking to control but Lenol is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Lenol really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Lenol is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Lenol on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lenol tries to get out of the position.
Lenol throwing hammer fists to the chest of Walsh. What's that going to do exactly?
Lenol is squirming around, avoiding Walsh's attempts to control the action.
Lenol is trying desperately to improve position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Walsh blocks Lenol's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Walsh controlling from mount.
Walsh wants to control the pace but Lenol is squirming around nicely.
Walsh content just to control the position here.
Lenol is looking to get to half guard.
Walsh can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lenol is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Brian Walsh will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Walsh throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lenol stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Walsh scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lenol doesn't seem bothered though.
Jab, jab by Walsh - just one landing.
Lenol tries to close the distance and clinch but Walsh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ty Lenol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walsh cracks Lenol with an open hand slap.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lenol.
Lenol moves in looking to clinch but Walsh pushes him off.
Walsh fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Lenol tries to clinch up.
Walsh lands with an uppercut that bounces Lenol off the cage and back into rage.


It looks like Ty Lenol has been cut.
Lenol takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.


Lenol is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Walsh feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lenol sprawling to the canvas! Lenol rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Walsh finish him?!
Oh Lenol is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Walsh darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Lenol's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Walsh before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brian Walsh!
Brian Walsh is the new bantamweight champion!
