The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrante fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jaw sprawls well initially but Ferrante persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ferrante throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jaw is not content to let Ferrante control the position.
Ferrante passes to full mount!
Jaw tries to reverse the position but Ferrante maintains control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Jaw is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Ferrante stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Ferrante fails with the takedown.
Jaw shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jaw accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ferrante is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jaw is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ferrante's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ferrante's back!
Even with his hooks in, Jaw manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Ferrante is taking damage to the body and head.
Jaw throwing strikes and Ferrante squirms under the pressure, ending up mounted.
Jaw avoids the attempt from Ferrante to control.
Jaw postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ferrante looks a forlorn figure.
It looks like Adam Ferrante has been cut.
Jaw landing punches.
That has opened up Adam Ferrante's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ferrante is rocked!
Adam Ferrante's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Adam Ferrante's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
