Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Handy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Tequila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tequila is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sandstorm. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Handy as Tequila shoots in.
Horrible takedown by Tequila or perhaps it was just good defense by Handy which made him look bad.
Handy gets caught flat footed, as Tequila shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Handy controls Tequila momentarily but Tequila frees himself.
Tequila with a flurry of punches that miss.
Tequila throws a strike but Handy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Tequila is looking for a triangle but Handy pushes his legs off easily.
Tequila has his foot on Handy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Handy works his way back into a safe position though.
Handy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Handy tries to stand but Tequila is controlling from the bottom.
Handy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tequila on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jack Handy just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Handy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tequila.
Jack Handy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Tequila.
A right-left combo lands from Handy.
Some wild striking there from Handy.
Tequila tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Handy swivels and escapes.
Handy throws a sloppy head kick and Tequila moves out of range easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Tequila dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nice takedown defense from Handy. No joy for Tequila on that attempt.
Handy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tequila's half guard.
Tequila manages to get to full guard.
Tequila escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Handy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Handy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tequila has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Handy has managed to get both his arms back between Tequila's legs - danger averted.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tequila had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Handy defends it easily.

Tequila looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Handy is defending well. Tequila quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Handy has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Tequila celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
