Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Suzuki Pv! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stan Butters! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butters shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pv but Pv pushes him off and we're back to square one. Pv lands a two punch combo.
Pv doesn't succeed with the takedown and Butters counters with a single leg into guard. Pv didn't expect that. Pv had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Butters is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pv Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Butters's back instead. Butters looking very determined here, making life difficult for Pv.
Pv really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Butters. Pv tightening his grip on Butters, looking for the choke. Butters manages to reverse the position and now he's in Pv's guard. Nice work there by Butters.
Pv working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Butters doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Butters manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pv throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Butters pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pv is keeping the position for now. Pv striking off his back but it's not causing Butters any problems. Butters sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pv's guard. Butters is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Pv has managed to free his arm - good work. Pv trying to control from the bottom.
Butters is working for a kimura but Pv is defending it quite comfortably.
Pv wants to get back to full guard but Butters has mounted him! Pv tries to hold on but Butters postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Butters looking to secure an arm triangle but Pv defends it well. Butters looks gassed! Butters is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pv has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Pv is desperately trying to improve his position but Butters has a good base and remains in mount. Pv is working hard here to advance position. Butters with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Butters trying to control but he's not successful this time. Pv slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pv is defending against the submission attempts here by Butters.
Still in half guard, Butters seems content to control. Butters wants to pass the guard but Pv is defending well. Butters passes to side control. Pv can't do much from the bottom here. Butters is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pv has escaped the position, nice work there. Butters in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Pv is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
