Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Duane Dibbley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baltazar Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dibbley scores with a one two! Ramos had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Ramos shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Dibbley is not content to let Ramos control the position.

Ramos is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dibbley wants to sweep but Ramos has passed to side control!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Dibbley is trying to improve his position.

Ramos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dibbley keeps working.
Ramos tries to advance position but instead Dibbley slips a leg back in to half guard.
Dibbley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ramos wants to control but Dibbley is keeping him busy.

Ramos throwing strikes but Dibbley manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Ramos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dibbley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The strikes coming from Dibbley are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
You can see the frustration on Ramos's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Ramos swats away the attempt to clinch by Dibbley.

Ramos shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dibbley manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ramos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Ramos trying to control the position from guard on top but Dibbley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dibbley has momentary wrist control but Ramos slips an elbow through the middle.
Ramos postures up and lands a big shot to Dibbley's brow.
Dibbley trying to keep a closed guard but Ramos is proving a slippery customer.
Dibbley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Dibbley keeping moving, preventing Ramos from controlling successfully.
Dibbley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Dibbley moves away from the strike by Ramos.
Ramos misses with a hook. Dibbley ducked under it nicely.
Dibbley dives in and grabs Ramos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ramos pushes down on Dibbley's head and hops out.

Dibbley thows a body shot but no joy.
Dibbley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Dibbley has had enough of the clinch but Ramos keeps him there for the moment.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Dibbley is pressed up against the ropes. Ramos has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dibbley down to the mat. Dibbley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ramos thows a left - swing and a miss!
Dibbley moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Dibbley takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Dibbley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ramos swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ramos tries to keep at a distance but Dibbley has taken the fight into the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Dibbley - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Ramos trying to stall but Dibbley improves his position.
Dibbley lands with a light punch inside.
Dibbley is trying to force a seperation but Ramos has the dominant position.
Ramos lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Dibbley manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dibbley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dibbley misses with a takedown attempt - Ramos sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Duane Dibbley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ramos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dibbley.
Dibbley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ramos.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ramos has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Ramos bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dibbley's head backwards.

Ramos swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dibbley.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ramos wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Dibbley doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ramos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Good exchange - Ramos coming out on top.

Ramos looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Ramos is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dibbley is surviving well by controlling Ramos's body position as best he can.

Ramos wants to finish this one by submission but Dibbley is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ramos.

Dibbley is in all sorts of trouble here.

Ramos is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Dibbley has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Dibbley!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ramos is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Ramos is trying to hold Dibbley in close to prevent damage but Dibbley has managed to pass into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ramos is trying is best to control the position here.

Baltazar Ramos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Dibbley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ramos did well to prevent Dibbley getting side control.

Dibbley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ramos has escaped the position, nice work there.

Dibbley stands up and beckons Ramos to his feet.

Well, if Ramos is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ramos wants to control but Dibbley is keeping him busy.

Ramos takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Ramos throws a strike but Dibbley avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Ramos content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Dibbley has locked up a guillotine! Dibbley's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ramos is holding on here and Dibbley must be using up a lot of energy. Ramos has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Dibbley gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
