And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Viktor Mykolaiv!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers lands the left hand.
Kurt Summers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mykolaiv throws a right hand that Summers ducks under and follows up with a left that Summers also avoids with ease.
Summers connects with a nice looking jab.
Mykolaiv fails to land with a series of punches.
Mykolaiv throws a series of punches but Summers moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Summers scores with a nice strike.

Mykolaiv takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Mykolaiv misses with a wild combination.
Summers tests Mykolaiv's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Summers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mykolaiv takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Summers lands a head kick. Mykolaiv smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Summers. Mykolaiv shrugs it off though.

Summers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Summers takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Summers throws a head kick that misses.
Mykolaiv misses with a double jab
and Summers counters with a nice body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Summers bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Summers throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Summers works the jab nicely.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Mykolaiv falls off balance throwing a combination
and Summers counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Summers counters with an outside leg kick.
Mykolaiv dodges the punch combination from Summers.

and Summers counters with a flying knee. Nice.

and Summers counters with a nice kick to the body.
Mykolaiv is breathing heavily.
Summers scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Summers goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Summers throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Summers counters with a straight right hand.
Summers dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mykolaiv. That did some damage!
Mykolaiv throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mykolaiv takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mykolaiv takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Summers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mykolaiv stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Summers counters with a big head kick but Mykolaiv shrugs it off.


Mykolaiv is rocked!
Are you kidding me?! Summers ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Mykolaiv clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
