Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between D C Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Prado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson's entrance music is Real American. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prado misses with a straight left.

Prado throws a looping overhand right but Jackson ducks down to avoid it.

Jackson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Prado is trying to defend but Jackson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Prado is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold.

Prado lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Prado might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jackson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Prado. Prado circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Prado looks to land a combination but Jackson avoids it well.

Prado gets caught flat footed, as Jackson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Prado wants to get back to his feet but Jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Prado uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Jackson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Prado, up you get!

Jackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Prado looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jackson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jackson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Prado throws out a loose jab but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Prado's waist but Prado gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.
Prado stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Prado wants it to stay on the feet.

Well Jackson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
