The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pawalszczyk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bishop tries to avoid it but Pawalszczyk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bishop to the ground. Bishop escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pawalszczyk takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pawalszczyk takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Pawalszczyk looks gassed!
A chopping leg kick lands by Pawalszczyk.
Bishop getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Mateusz Pawalszczyk has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pawalszczyk misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pawalszczyk looks for a takedown but Bishop sprawls well.
Bishop cracks Pawalszczyk with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bishop has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pawalszczyk to stand back up!
Pawalszczyk is rocked!
Pawalszczyk drops his hands momentarily. Bishop doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Pawalszczyk staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Pawalszczyk doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gunnar Bishop!
