Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Barrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Jose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rusty Barrow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luiz Jose! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jose shoots for a takedown but Barrow saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Barrow scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jose is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Barrow off and has taken his back! Jose looking for the choke from the back. Barrow is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Jose avoiding Barrow 's attempts to control his hands. Jose is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Barrow knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Barrow for a finish. Jose is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Barrow is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Jose is hanging on to Barrow's back as he tries to escape.
Barrow wants to control his opponent's hands but Jose gets his hands free. Barrow defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Jose's arms. Jose looks gassed! Jose is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Barrow is defending well though. Jose let's go of the attempt for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jose looking for the choke from the back. Barrow has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Barrow turns into Jose and is now in his guard.
Barrow wants to stand but Jose is controlling his posture from full guard. Jose working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barrow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barrow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Barrow closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Barrow lands in his opponent's guard. Barrow has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barrow stands up from guard. Let's bang! Barrow moves into the clinch. A quick uppercut on the inside from Barrow. Barrow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Barrow gets the takedown into side control. Jose trying to remain calm as Barrow controls from the top position. Barrow has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jose shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Barrow counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jose! Barrow content just to control the position here. Jose working to try and regain half guard.
Jose is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Barrow takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jose is trying desperately to improve position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Barrow tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Rusty Barrow just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Barrow shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jose as he avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rusty Barrow dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jose tries for a takedown but Barrow circles away easily and Barrow counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jose won't be happy with that. Barrow slows the pace down. Barrow decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jose to his feet. Jose closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jose lands in his opponent's guard. Jose wants to pass the guard but Barrow is keeping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jose thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jose postures up.
Barrow looking for a sweep. Not yet Barrow, not yet. Jose drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jose jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Barrow is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Jose drops back looking for a leg! Barrow is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Barrow manages to kick Jose off! Jose jumps back into Barrow's guard. Jose passes into half guard. Jose passes to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jose looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Barrow is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jose has just dragged him back down to the mat. Jose is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Barrow knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jose tries for a kimura but Barrow is defending well. Jose swings around for an armbar but Barrow sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jose's guard. Barrow wants to get up but he can't break Jose's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jose had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Barrow defends it easily. Jose working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barrow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barrow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Barrow decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Barrow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jose sprawls well initially but Barrow persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jose looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Barrow content to control rather than advance. Jose is looking to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jose looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Barrow gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Jose gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barrow to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jose working for a triangle but Barrow defends it easily.
Barrow controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jose is looking for a triangle but Barrow pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rusty Barrow dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Barrow moves into the clinch. Jose jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Barrow walks away with a smile on his face. Jose gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Barrow doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jose counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Barrow is defending against the submission attempts here by Jose.
Jose stops Barrow from getting back to his feet.
Jose is trying for a kimura here. Barrow looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Jose wins by kimura!
