Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rob Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Sass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Sass! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Sass has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Thomas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sass is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Thomas wants to control from the top but Sass keeps moving. Thomas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sass has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thomas has managed to get both his arms back between Sass's legs - danger averted. Thomas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sass swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sass looking for a guillotine here but Thomas defends easily.
Sass keeping full guard, as Thomas tries to pass. Thomas slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sass's guard. Sass looking for submissions off his back. Sass looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sass looks gassed! Sass keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Thomas tries to stand and escape but Sass is controlling the position. Thomas is trying to control the action in half guard but Sass is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Thomas is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sass has managed to free his arm - good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sass throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Thomas trying to control the action but Sass is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Thomas scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sass looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Thomas wants to work for an arm triangle but Sass is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Thomas stalling. Sass misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Sass wants to control but Thomas is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sass has managed to free his arm - good work. Thomas is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Thomas is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sass doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Thomas. Thomas is trying to control. Sass wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Thomas is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sass looking for submissions off his back. Sass is refusing to be controlled, as Thomas sits in half guard. Sass trying to control but Thomas postures up.
Thomas works his way into full mount! Thomas is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sass to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sass shrugs it off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Thomas dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sass misses with an uppercut. Thomas saw that one coming. Thomas looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Sass strikes from the bottom but Thomas passes into mount!
Thomas dominating with strikes here. Sass tries to hold on but Thomas postures up. Thomas goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sass turns into him and now he's in Thomas's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sass stands up and waves to Thomas to follow him. Sass tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thomas paws at him with a jab and circles away. Thomas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Sass is looking to improve his position but Thomas isn't that keen on the idea. Sass wants to control but Thomas is having none of it. Sass manages to regain half guard. Good work. Thomas moves nicely into side control. Thomas is trying to get an arm triangle but Sass is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sass avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Thomas. Sass wants to control but Thomas postures up. Sass gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Sass is wriggling around trying to escape.
Thomas has control of Sass's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sass regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Thomas goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sass turns into him and now he's in Thomas's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Sass wanted to stand there but Thomas had control of the position. Sass preventing the sweep. Sass has gone for a leg lock! Thomas slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sass's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sass looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sass is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sass keeping moving, preventing Thomas from controlling successfully. Thomas thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Thomas pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sass is keeping the position for now. Sass has a closed guard, preventing Thomas from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Thomas dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Sass wants to clinch up but Thomas keeps it at a distance. Sass misses with an uppercut. Thomas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sass to the mat! Sass manages to get full guard. Thomas wanted to stand there but Sass had control of the position. Sass working for submissions but it's allowed Thomas to get to half guard.
Thomas moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Sass. Sass wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Thomas seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Sass is tapping! Wow, great finish!
