Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Frakes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atasuke Kazunari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johnny Frakes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Atasuke Kazunari!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kazunari throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Frakes was covering up waiting for the punch and Kazunari finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kazunari drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kazunari jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kazunari drops back looking for a leg! Frakes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Frakes manages to kick Kazunari off! Kazunari jumps back into Frakes's guard.

Kazunari has gone for a leg lock! Frakes slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kazunari's guard.
Frakes trying to control but Kazunari is working from the bottom.
Frakes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Frakes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kazunari has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Frakes has managed to get both his arms back between Kazunari's legs - danger averted.

Kazunari is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Frakes is aware though and is defending well.

Frakes wants to control from the top but Kazunari keeps moving.

Frakes seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frakes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Frakes is looking to take a break and control but Kazunari is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kazunari is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Frakes pulls his head out easily.
Frakes thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kazunari's head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kazunari avoids the head kick by Frakes.

Frakes shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Ground and pound from Frakes.
Frakes working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Frakes moves nicely into side control.
Kazunari prevents Frakes from moving into mount.
Frakes is looking to take a break and control but Kazunari is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Frakes misses with the ground and pound.
Kazunari is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Kazunari looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Frakes stands up and beckons Kazunari to join him on the feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Frakes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kazunari is trying for a kimura here. Frakes looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Kazunari wins by kimura!
