Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Haynes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, New Fighter! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Haynes finds it's way round the side to connect with Fighter's head. Fighter takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Haynes connects with a right hand. Fighter shakes it off. Haynes lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Haynes with a jab. Nice jab there from Haynes. Haynes stuffs the takedown. Haynes throws a right and a left that Fighter avoids nicely. Jab, jab by Haynes - just one landing. Haynes throws a leg kick which misses Fighter's front leg but catches the back leg as Fighter tries to avoid it. Haynes scores with a jab to the jaw. Haynes lands with a nice combination. Fighter backs away looking to recover. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Haynes throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fighter on the side of the head. Haynes scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Fighter is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Haynes. Fighter takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Fighter misses with a takedown attempt - Haynes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Haynes cracks Fighter with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Brandon Haynes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Some wild striking there from Haynes.
Fighter doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Haynes is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Fighter takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Haynes looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Haynes! Haynes is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fighter has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter tries to bench press Haynes off him but Haynes keeps the position. Haynes controlling the position from side mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fighter is trying to control Haynes's posture but Haynes avoids it. Fighter is not content to let Haynes control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Haynes taking a breather here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon Haynes dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That's one minute gone in the round. Haynes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fighter. That did some damage! Fighter stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Haynes. Fighter sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Good exchange - Haynes coming out on top. Haynes throws a good cross that connects.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fighter. A jab from Haynes does it's job there. Haynes uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fighter has time to react. Horrible takedown by Fighter or perhaps it was just good defense by Haynes which made him look bad. Jab by Haynes.

A left and a right from Haynes both land. Nice combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Haynes getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Fighter takes a jab right on the kisser.

Haynes throws a nice inside leg kick. Fighter drops his hands momentarily and Haynes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Haynes sizes up Fighter with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Haynes lands a two punch combo.
Haynes lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haynes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fighter. Fighter circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Fighter drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Haynes lands a really nice looking cross but Fighter seems unphased.
Haynes connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fighter momentarily.
Haynes connects with a single shot there. Haynes throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Haynes, right into the meat.

Fighter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Haynes lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Haynes goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Brandon Haynes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Haynes works the jab nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A combination from Haynes does no damage. Fighter has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Haynes jabs Fighter right on the nose. Fighter blinks but takes it well. Fighter gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Haynes. Good leg kick by Haynes there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Haynes tries to bum rush Fighter with a series of wild strikes but Fighter uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Fighter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Haynes tries to avoid it but Fighter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Haynes to the ground. Haynes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Brandon Haynes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New Fighter. Fighter on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Haynes connects with a solid leg kick. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Haynes connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Haynes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fighter can do to turn this around? Haynes fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fighter on the side of the head. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Haynes, as that shot connected.

Haynes connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fighter's hands. Haynes stuffs the takedown attempt from Fighter. Fighter gets slowly back to his feet. Haynes scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Brandon Haynes is winning the standup battle so far. Haynes misses with a few strikes there.

Fighter walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Fighter on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Fighter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Haynes tries to avoid it but Fighter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Haynes to the ground. Haynes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nice uppercut lands for Haynes. That snapped Fighter's head back.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Haynes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fighter somewhat. Brandon Haynes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New Fighter. Fighter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Some wild striking there from Haynes.
Fighter shoots in for a takedown but Haynes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Fighter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Haynes circles away. Haynes lands with a cross. A solid leg kick lands there for Haynes.
