Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gattsu Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Contender. Evans has chosen I need Scissors! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gattsu Emelianenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Evans! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Emelianenko closes the distance and lands a one-two. Emelianenko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Evans sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Evans throws out a loose jab but Emelianenko uses good head movement to avoid it. Emelianenko blocks a jab. Emelianenko scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Emelianenko misses with a double jab.

Evans moves out of range of the body kick. Nice uppercut there from Emelianenko. Evans throws out a powerful jab. Evans just misses with a punch to the body.

Evans connects with a crisp jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A telegraphed right hand from Evans misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko misses with a wild body shot. Emelianenko lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Emelianenko. Emelianenko ducks under a wild hook from Evans. Evans scores with a sloppy right hand. Emelianenko should have avoided that one. Emelianenko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Evans tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Emelianenko is able to avoid easily. Evans swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Emelianenko takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Evans fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Emelianenko manages to avoid it. Evans wants to land a leg kick but Emelianenko is out of range. Emelianenko lands a nice looking body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Emelianenko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Evans sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Emelianenko somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gattsu Emelianenko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Emelianenko ducks under a wild hook from Evans.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Emelianenko fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Emelianenko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Emelianenko lands a lovely overhand right. Emelianenko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Evans tries to avoid it but Emelianenko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Evans to the ground. Evans escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Evans misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Emelianenko makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Emelianenko takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Evans tries to clinch but Emelianenko moves out of range. Emelianenko works Evans's body with a nice hook. Evans looks gassed! Emelianenko misses with a body shot
and Evans counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Emelianenko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Emelianenko bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Emelianenko wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko lands with a right hand. Emelianenko throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Evans stumbling backwards into the cage! Evans bounces back off the cage towards Emelianenko, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Emelianenko lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Emelianenko celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gattsu Emelianenko!
