Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Builder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batista kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Animal. Bob Builder looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Batista! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Builder! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Builder, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Batista lands with an overhand left.
That has opened up Bob Builder's cut even more. Builder looks to land a combination but Batista avoids it well. Builder looks gassed! Builder looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Batista closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Builder to the mat! Builder manages to get full guard. Batista sitting in guard here, content to control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Batista working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Batista trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Batista throws a big right hand that misses. Batista throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Builder works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Batista's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Batista postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Batista is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batista lands a couple of elbows. Builder preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Batista will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Batista chips away with some ground and pound. Batista sitting in guard here, content to control. Batista gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Batista shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Builder is trying to defend but Batista finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Batista wants to pass the guard but Builder is defending well.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Builder with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Batista controlling the action here. Builder lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Batista circles away quickly and effectively. Batista shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Batista showed some decent athleticism there. Batista passes to full mount! Batista fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Batista is landing with some decent strikes but Builder is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Builder is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Batista not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Batista seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Batista cracks Builder with a big right hand but Builder just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Builder tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. You get the feeling that Builder really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Batista lands a big shot there that rocks Builder but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Batista content just to control the position here. Builder tries to buck Batista off but he can't manage it.

Right on cue, Batista cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Batista lands a big elbow. Builder takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Batista cracks Builder with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Dave Batista is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Batista lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Dave Batista showed his dominance in that final round. Well Batista has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
