Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tony Ingram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Derren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derren has chosen World Funeral as his entrance music. Rick Derren looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Ingram! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rick Derren! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Derren tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Derren looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Derren tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ingram paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice sprawl there from Derren as Ingram shoots in. Ingram tries for a takedown but Derren sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Derren wants to clinch up but Ingram keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Derren tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ingram paws at him with a jab and circles away. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ingram shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ingram stays in close to Derren's body and controls the position. Ingram seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Derren for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ingram won't allow Derren to get back to his feet. Derren wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ingram manages to pass to side control. Ingram not doing much here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ingram passes to side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ingram slows the pace down. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Ingram dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ingram gets a takedown into half guard. Ingram takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Derren is breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tony Ingram. Derren tries to close the distance and clinch but Ingram swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ingram feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Derren keeping full guard, as Ingram tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Derren can't keep his opponent in guard - Ingram advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Ingram looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Ingram will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ingram has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Tony Ingram dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Ingram shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Derren's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ingram controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Derren takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ingram's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The fight stays on the outside here - Derren looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rick Derren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Ingram or perhaps it was just good defense by Derren which made him look bad. Ingram is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Derren's half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ingram wants to pass to mount but Derren is defending the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ingram is taking a breather. Derren says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that's the end of the fight! Tony Ingram showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ingram, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
