The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Didier stuns Tongue with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
No joy there for Didier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Didier looks to land a combination. Tongue sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Didier throws a one two combo.
A lazy left from Didier finds it's target.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Didier lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tongue circles away quickly and effectively.
Didier shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Tongue shoots in for a double leg but Didier sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Tongue tries to move into range but Didier moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Tongue looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Didier is fending him off so far but Tongue persists. Nope, Didier circles away and we're back to standing.
Didier is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Tongue throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Didier's waist but Didier gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tongue off to one side.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Didier goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Didier is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Tongue shoots in looking for a takedown. Didier tries to sprawl out of it but Tongue keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Didier manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Didier swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Tongue gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Tongue might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Didier has got the better of the exchanges.
A jab-cross combination lands for Didier and sends Tongue crashing to the mat! Didier follows him down to the mat - Tongue regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tongue is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Didier pulls his head out easily.
