Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Junior Lessard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tor Nansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lessard's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ozzy Osbourne - Mr Crowley. Nansen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Prodigy - Thunder kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Junior Lessard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tor Nansen!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Lessard.
Nansen lands with a nice combination. Lessard backs away looking to recover.
Lessard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nansen manages to avoid it.
Lessard digs a good hook to Nansen's body.
Lessard dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nansen. That did some damage!
Nansen tries to bum rush Lessard with a series of wild strikes but Lessard uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lessard is looking to clinch.
Nansen checks a leg kick nicely.
Lessard has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lessard there as he acknowledges the shot.
Lessard lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Nansen scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Lessard lands with a hook. Nansen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Lessard lands a left hand that snaps the head of Nansen backwards.

Nansen misses with a hook to the ribs.
Lessard prevents Nansen from breaking the clinch.
Nansen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Junior Lessard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nansen blocks a jab.
Some bone on bone action there as Nansen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Lessard scores with a jab to the body.
Nansen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lessard sprawls well initially but Nansen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Lessard is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Nansen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lessard is pulling down on Nansen's head to control his posture.
Nansen forces his way into half guard.

Lessard is looking for a sweep. Nansen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Nansen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lessard's head.
Lessard wants to improve his position but Nansen is controlling well.
Lessard wants to get back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lessard is looking for a sweep. Nansen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lessard takes a swing at Nansen's ribcage but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tor Nansen will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Nansen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lessard tries to avoid it but Nansen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lessard to the ground. Lessard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lessard throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Lessard catches Nansen with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nansen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lessard sizes up Nansen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Lessard throws a hook but Nansen avoids it easily.
Nansen checks the leg kick.
Nansen chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Nansen lands with a shot to the body.
Lessard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nansen.
Lessard connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Nansen throws a jab but it's blocked by Lessard.
Lessard walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Nansen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Nansen counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Lessard lands with a nice body kick.
Lessard misses with a body shot.
Lessard misses with a hook. Nansen ducked under it nicely.
Tor Nansen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nansen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nansen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lessard tries to avoid it but Nansen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lessard to the ground. Lessard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nansen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Lessard throws a leg kick but Nansen sees it coming and moves out of range.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lessard.

Nansen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Junior Lessard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tor Nansen.
Lessard motions for Nansen to come forward. Lessard throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Lessard misses with a straight right.
Nansen throws a nice looking combination but Lessard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lessard lands a nice looking body kick.

Lessard tries to work over Nansen's front leg with a kick but Nansen checks it.

Junior Lessard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nansen on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lessard. Lessard obviously looking to wear him down.
Nansen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lessard throws out the jab.
Lessard throws a front kick aimed at Nansen's knee but Nansen avoids it well.
Lessard throws and low kick but Nansen moves out of range easily.

Lessard closes the distance but Nansen moves to the side
and Nansen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Nansen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lessard's guard now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lessard uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Lessard throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nansen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lessard!
Lessard is desperately trying to improve his position but Nansen has a good base and remains in mount.

Lessard wants to control but Nansen is having none of it.
Nansen prevents Lessard from getting the reversal.
Nansen scoring with strikes but Lessard is staying in there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lessard is wriggling around trying to escape.

A close second round but Tor Nansen will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Lessard tries to clinch up but Nansen circles away and keeps his distance.
Lessard tries to move into range but Nansen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Nansen just misses with a punch to the body.
Lessard slips a straight right by Nansen.
Nansen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Nansen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Nansen looks to throw the jab but Lessard is out of range.
Nansen blocks a head kick by Lessard.
Lessard throws a leg kick
and Nansen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lessard won't be happy with that.
Nansen looking to control but instead Lessard has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Nansen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lessard keeps working.

Lessard gets full guard.
Nansen wants to control from the top but Lessard keeps moving.
Lessard seems keen to control Nansen's posture.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lessard is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Junior Lessard has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lessard is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Nansen is staying active underneath Lessard, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
