The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez shoots for a double leg takedown but Gambini sprawls well. He's pushed Sanchez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sanchez takes a shot right to the bread basket. Gambini lands a nice shot to the body.
Sanchez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gambini is fending him off so far but Sanchez persists. Nope, Gambini circles away and we're back to standing. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sanchez. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miguel Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sanchez tries to move into range but Gambini moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Gambini tests Sanchez's chin there with a solid looking shot. Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt. Gambini tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sanchez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gambini somewhat. Sanchez ducks right into an uppercut from Gambini. Gambini tests Sanchez's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gambini slaps away a takedown attempt from Sanchez, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sanchez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sanchez there as he acknowledges the shot. Garo Gambini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanchez ducks under a wild hook from Gambini. Gambini connects with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez moves away from the strike by Gambini. Gambini throws a jab when Sanchez was well out of range. Gambini lands a nice shot that snaps Sanchez's head back.
Gambini scores with a jab to the body. Sanchez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sanchez is defended easily by Gambini. Sanchez tries to clinch up. Sanchez walks into a left hand. Sanchez ducks right into an uppercut from Gambini. Sanchez looks for a takedown but Gambini sprawls well. Sanchez doesn't manage to clinch there - Gambini circles away.
Gambini dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Sanchez is breathing heavily. Sanchez misses the shot to the body. Gambini ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sanchez moves away. Sanchez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Gambini scores with the left hand. Sanchez knows he should have avoided that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gambini cracks Sanchez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Gambini with a hook. Gambini lands the left hand. A decent looking cross lands there for Gambini. Sanchez tries for a takedown but Gambini circles away easily letting Gambini counter with a right hand. Garo Gambini is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gambini lands a really nice looking cross but Sanchez seems unphased.

This has been an exciting period of action! Gambini scores with a jab. Gambini lands with a nice body punch. Gambini lands an overhand right. Gambini ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Gambini stuns Sanchez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Sanchez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gambini to score with a decent uppercut.
Sanchez is rocked! Gambini dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Gambini clobbers Sanchez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Oh Sanchez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sanchez takes a shot right to the bread basket. Gambini scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sanchez. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Gambini scores with a body shot.
Sanchez is holding his hands too far apart here. Gambini throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Sanchez is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
