Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between DeShaw Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Atio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phil Atio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Atio throws the kick towards the body but Taylor avoids it. Atio looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Atio shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Taylor can't escape the position.
Atio thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Atio trying to control but he's not successful this time. Taylor is trying desperately to improve position. Atio forces the positional change into back control. Good control from Atio. Taylor surviving as best he can, preventing damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. The fight stays on the outside here - Atio looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Atio tries to bum rush Taylor with a series of wild strikes but Taylor uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Atio looks to throw the jab but Taylor is out of range. Taylor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Taylor gets the takedown into side control. The ground and pound from Taylor seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Atio manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taylor tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Atio trying to hold on to Taylor's head to control him but Taylor postures up.
Taylor is keen to just control but Atio is a slippery customer. Atio trying to control from the bottom.
Taylor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Atio keeps working. Atio manages to get to full guard.
Atio trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atio is looking to stand up but Taylor isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Atio throws a series of punches but Taylor moves out of range. Taylor closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Atio did well to prevent Taylor getting side control. Taylor is breathing heavily. Atio wants to improve his position but Taylor is controlling well.
Atio is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Atio is trying to stand.
Atio is trying to get back to full guard. Atio is staying active underneath Taylor, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Taylor is really struggling to control Atio but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Atio gets back to full guard.
Taylor passes Atio's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Atio has his hands clasped together around Taylor's back. He's all about the action. Taylor is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Atio is looking to control Taylor's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Atio avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that DeShaw Taylor will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Atio scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Taylor manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Taylor being controlled here, momentarily. Taylor keeping moving, preventing Atio from controlling successfully. Taylor working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Atio. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Atio trying to control the position from guard on top but Taylor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atio tries to free his leg and advance position but Taylor is retaining full guard. Taylor looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Taylor looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Atio shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Atio takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Atio landing strikes from the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Atio takes Taylor's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Taylor is in trouble. Atio has managed to slip his arm under Taylor's chin. This could be all over... yep, Taylor is tapping out! Submission win for Atio.
