Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Masterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Machete Trejo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Masterson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stinkfist. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masterson throws a big shot that misses.
Good standup being displayed there by Masterson as he connects with a hook.
It looks like Machete Trejo has been cut.
Trejo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Masterson.

Masterson stuffs the takedown attempt from Trejo. Trejo gets slowly back to his feet.

Trejo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Trejo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Masterson swivels and escapes.
Bruno Masterson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Machete Trejo.
Trejo rushes Masterson and presses him up against the cage.
Trejo gets through Masterson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Masterson wants to get back to striking at distance but Trejo won't allow it.

Trejo goes for a takedown attempt but Masterson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Masterson misses with a shot to the body
and Trejo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Masterson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Trejo manages to avoid it.

Trejo moves away from the strike by Masterson.

Trejo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Trejo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Trejo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Masterson wants to control but Trejo is having none of it.

Trejo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Masterson's face.
Masterson is looking to improve his position but Trejo isn't that keen on the idea.

Trejo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Masterson looks a forlorn figure.

A nice elbow there by Trejo.
Trejo working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Masterson turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Trejo off and cradles Masterson's limp body as Trejo celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Machete Trejo!
