Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marvin Hagler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Nakamura! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Hagler. Hagler fails in his attempt to clinch. Nakamura avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nakamura uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hagler. Nakamura checks a leg kick. Nakamura keeps the fight on the outside. Nakamura scores with a spinning back kick! Nakamura lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hagler circles away quickly and effectively. Nakamura circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hagler throws an overhand right that lands on Nakamura's shoulder, as Nakamura tries to avoid the shot. Marvin Hagler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nakamura needs to keep his hands up - Hagler had a free shot at his head there. Hagler walks forward, straight into a front kick from Nakamura. Hagler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The crowd cheers as Nakamura lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hagler doesn't seem phased though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakamura goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Hagler tries to clinch up but Nakamura circles away and keeps his distance. Hagler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hagler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nakamura swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hagler is looking to clinch. Hagler throws a combination that misses and Nakamura counters with a big head kick but Hagler shrugs it off. Hagler scores with a body shot.

Hagler looks to clinch and Nakamura connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hagler tries to clinch but fails miserably and Nakamura counters with a big head kick but Hagler shrugs it off. Nakamura pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hagler looks to throw a body kick and Nakamura counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Hagler throws a leg kick and Nakamura counters with a head kick.
Hagler is rocked! Nakamura circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Hagler drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Nakamura follows Hagler to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
