You can see the frustration on Almeida's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Almeida needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation.

Almeida tries to roll over but LIDDELL keeps him under control.
LIDDELL is keen to just control but Almeida is a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Almeida drops LIDDELL with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but LIDDELL looks back up at him and smiles so Almeida waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Almeida drops LIDDELL with a straight left! Oh this is bad for LIDDELL! Almeida dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
