Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George Chambers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brock Lesnar ! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar clinches. Lesnar managing to block the knees to the body from Chambers.
Lesnar turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lesnar manages to end up in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chambers being controlled for a moment. Lesnar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Lesnar moves into the clinch successfully.
Lesnar takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut. Lesnar has Chambers pressed against the cage, preventing Chambers from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Chambers tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lesnar avoids it. Lesnar has Chambers pushed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chambers misses with a knee to the head. Chambers missing with knees to the body.
Lesnar pulls guard. Lesnar scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Lesnar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Lesnar throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lesnar is figuring out what he wants to do next. Lesnar should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chambers pushes Lesnar off looking to stand but Lesnar dives back in and keeps control.
Lesnar seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chambers doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lesnar . Lesnar throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lesnar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Lesnar stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Chambers to get to his feet. Lesnar looks gassed! Chambers clinches but Lesnar breaks the clinch and Lesnar counters by clinching up. Chambers looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Lesnar has Chambers pressed against the cage.
Chambers has had enough of the clinch but Lesnar keeps him there for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Lesnar dominated that round. The cut man is working on Brock Lesnar 's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lesnar circles away from the clinch attempt and Lesnar counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lesnar . Lesnar stays in close to Chambers's body and controls the position. Chambers avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar looking to pass the guard. Lesnar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lesnar is breathing heavily. Lesnar 's corner is telling him to maintain position. Lesnar tries to free his leg and advance position but Chambers is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lesnar decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Chambers misses with the combination.
Lesnar is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Chambers. Lesnar keeps the fight on the outside. George Chambers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lesnar circles away from the clinch attempt and Lesnar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lesnar . Chambers with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Chambers has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Chambers tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Lesnar is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Chambers is trying to break the clinch but Lesnar is controlling him. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chambers lands an elbow that stopped Lesnar in his tracks for a moment. Chambers tries a knee to the head but Lesnar blocks it.
Lesnar can't get the takedown.
Chambers gets underhooks to prevent Lesnar 's takedown attempt.
Chambers wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lesnar has him pressed against the cage. Chambers is trying to force a seperation but Lesnar has the dominant position. Nice elbow from Chambers. Chambers with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Chambers wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Chambers lands a damaging elbow. Lesnar is trying to break the clinch but Chambers is controlling him. Lesnar gets through Chambers's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Chambers unloads a knee to the mid-section. Chambers comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Lesnar is struggling to control the position. Lesnar is looking to break free of the clinch but Chambers has double underhooks. Chambers with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Chambers can't break the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Lesnar throws an elbow but misses. Lesnar wants a takedown.
George Chambers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar .
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Lesnar . Chambers lands an elbow that stopped Lesnar in his tracks for a moment. Chambers tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Lesnar 's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Lesnar wants a takedown.
Lesnar blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Chambers gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Chambers looking to throw knees to the head but Lesnar is blocking nicely.
Lesnar prevents Chambers from breaking the clinch. Lesnar jumps guard and drags Chambers to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Chambers is looking to work some ground and pound but Lesnar has wrist control. Lesnar lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Chambers! Lesnar looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Lesnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Brock Lesnar 's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Chambers wants to clinch. Chambers throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Lesnar 's head. Chambers gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lesnar to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lesnar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Chambers, up you get! George Chambers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lesnar takes the fight into the clinch. Chambers tries a knee to the head but Lesnar blocks it.
Lesnar tightens his grip and picks Chambers up, before dumping him to the ground. Chambers manages to land in guard. Chambers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lesnar trying to control but Chambers is working from the bottom. Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chambers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesnar wants to get up but he can't break Chambers's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Chambers wants to get back to his feet but Lesnar is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chambers working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lesnar . Lesnar wants to pass the guard but Chambers is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chambers looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Chambers tries to clinch up and Lesnar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chambers won't be happy with that. George Chambers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar just content to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Brock Lesnar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Lesnar winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
