Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Selly Sel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Garet Jax!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sel lands a left and a right that send Jax crashing to the mat, dazed. Sel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Garet Jax has been cut.
Sel throws a series of punches but Jax avoids them all with ease.
Jax will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sel throws the kick towards the body but Jax avoids it.
Sel tries to land a front kick but Jax steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sel lands a left and a right that send Jax crashing to the mat, dazed. Sel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jax.
Jax throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sel's waist but Sel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jax off to one side.
Jax is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sel is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Jax.
A nice combination there by Sel.

Sel avoids a strike by Jax and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Jax's guard! Fantastic escape!

Jax has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sel is working away from the top position though.
Sel takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Sel passes Jax's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Jax is staying active underneath Sel, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jax is not content to let Sel control the position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Selly Sel just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Sel scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jax doesn't seem bothered though.
No luck for Jax with that takedown attempt.
Sel throws a sloppy head kick and Jax moves out of range easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jax takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Sel looks to land a combination but Jax avoids it well.
Jax shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sel's guard.
Jax stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sel tries to bum rush Jax with a series of wild strikes but Jax uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Sel scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
