The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nunes misses with a takedown attempt - Nash sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nash throws out a powerful jab. Nash avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Nash bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nunes's head. A right-left combo lands from Nash. Nunes looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. A nice combination there by Nash.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A jab from Nash finds it's way through Nunes's defenses. Nice body punch from Nash. Nash lands a two punch combo.

A left lands for Nash. Henrique Nunes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Steve Nash is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nash throws a combination. Nunes tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Nash has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Nash scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
