Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chest Brocknert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pizdin Dim!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brocknert shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dim as he avoids it easily.
Brocknert throws out a leg kick but Dim moves out of range and Brocknert only half commits.
Brocknert keeps the fight on the outside.

Dim shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Brocknert blocking the ground and pound.
Dim looking to control but Brocknert is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Dim lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Brocknert holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dim tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Dim tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Dim tries to control but Brocknert wriggling away.
Brocknert is working to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dim with the ground and pound from mount.
Brocknert gets back to half guard.
Dim perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Brocknert moves into full guard.
Dim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brocknert is keeping the position for now.
Brocknert trying to control the position.
Dim postures up in Brocknert's guard and throws a big left but Brocknert blocks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dim drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brocknert manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dim has Brocknert in his guard.

Dim looks gassed!

Brocknert stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Brocknert tries to clinch

and Dim counters with a shoot takedown. Brocknert fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brocknert lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dim!
Dim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brocknert. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brocknert lands a nice shot to the head.

Brocknert wants to finish this one by submission but Dim is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Brocknert.
Brocknert tries to control but Dim wriggling away.

Brocknert with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Dim trying desperately to get to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dim is squirming around, avoiding Brocknert's attempts to control the action.
Brocknert working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Brocknert sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Dim is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Brocknert looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chest Brocknert will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Brocknert has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Dim pulls guard successfully.
Dim looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Brocknert trying to control but Dim is working from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dim is breathing heavily.

Brocknert distracts Dim with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Dim keeping moving, preventing Brocknert from controlling successfully.
Dim can't keep his opponent in guard - Brocknert advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Brocknert working over Dim with some ground and pound. Dim looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Brocknert is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Dim is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Chest Brocknert!
