Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Turo Vatanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Harley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harley has chosen Phantom Of The Opera by Iron Maiden as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Harley as he connects with a hook.
It looks like Turo Vatanen has been cut.
Vatanen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Harley.
Vatanen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Harley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vatanen somewhat.
A telegraphed right hand from Harley misses the target.
Vatanen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Harley.
Harley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vatanen.
Harley thuds a left hand into Vatanen's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Harley wants to clinch up but Vatanen keeps it at a distance.

Harley throws a shot from downtown. Vatanen moves away and avoids it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Harley can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Vatanen takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Harley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Vatanen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vatanen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Harley is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Vatanen is putting a hurting on Harley here, landing some big shots from side control.

Vatanen postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Vatanen misses with a head shot. Harley uses the momentum to regain guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vatanen is looking to work some ground and pound but Harley has wrist control.
Vatanen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Vatanen trying to control the position from guard on top but Harley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vatanen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Harley manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vatanen has Harley in his guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Harley wants to stand but Vatanen has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Harley throws a lazy right hand but Vatanen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Harley pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Harley throws the left hand but Vatanen avoids the punch easily.
Harley closes the distance but Vatanen moves to the side
and Vatanen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Harley's guard now.
Vatanen looking to sit in guard and control but Harley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Vatanen is looking for a triangle but Harley pushes his legs off easily.
Vatanen looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Harley passes into side control.
Vatanen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Vatanen regains half guard.
Vatanen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Harley prevents Vatanen from improving his position.
Harley is keen to just control but Vatanen is a slippery customer.
Vatanen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Vatanen won't allow Harley to pass to mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Vatanen tries to get to full guard but Harley has control of the leg.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Vatanen wants to clinch.
Harley tries to clinch but Vatanen moves out of range.
Vatanen shoots in looking for a takedown. Harley tries to sprawl out of it but Vatanen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Vatanen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Harley sprawls well. Harley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vatanen gets slowly back to his feet.

Harley misses with a hook. Vatanen ducked under it nicely.

and Vatanen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Harley!
Harley wants to hold on but Vatanen pushes him away.
Vatanen controlling his opponent.
Harley takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Vatanen looking to ground and pound but Harley is blocking nicely.
Vatanen working for a guillotine from mount but Harley is in no mood to give up.

Vatanen misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Harley wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Vatanen.
Harley is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Vatanen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Harley is looking to escape.
Vatanen swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Harley is now in Vatanen's guard. A big mistake from Vatanen there, giving up the dominant position!

That's time! Vatanen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Harley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vatanen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Harley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Harley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vatanen avoids the body shot from Harley.
Vatanen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Harley gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Harley scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Harley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Harley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The fight stays on the outside here - Harley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Harley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vatanen sprawls well. Vatanen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Harley gets slowly back to his feet.

so Vatanen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Vatanen trying to control but Harley is working from the bottom.
Vatanen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Harley is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Vatanen, into his guard.
Turo Vatanen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Vatanen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Harley has picked Vatanen up and slammed him! Vatanen can't keep hold of the triangle and Harley manages to pass to side control!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Vatanen is trying to get back to half guard.
Harley blocks the strikes from Vatanen.
Vatanen wants to control but Harley postures up.
Vatanen gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vatanen is trying to control but can't.
Vatanen tries to roll over but Harley keeps him under control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Harley closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Harley lands a left hand.
Harley is trying to break free.
Harley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Harley lands a body shot in the clinch.
Vatanen tries to score a body lock takedown but Harley shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Vatanen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Still in the clinch, Harley scores with a nice short uppercut.
Harley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jack Harley seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Vatanen closes the distance and clinches.
Harley throws a punch but it's blocked by Vatanen.

Vatanen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Turo Vatanen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Harley throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Harley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jack Harley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
