Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kilo Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Tiernan!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson needs to keep his hands up - Tiernan had a free shot at his head there.
Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.
Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jackson is controlling Tiernan's posture.
Tiernan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Jackson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Tiernan tries to roll over but Jackson keeps him under control.
Jackson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Tiernan tries to kick Jackson off but Jackson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Tiernan is concentrating on defense, preventing Jackson from advancing position.
Jackson trying to control from half guard but Tiernan is working away.
Jackson moves nicely into side control.
The ground and pound from Jackson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Jackson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tiernan is not content to let Jackson control the position.
Tiernan tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jackson presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tiernan reaches up to try and control the position but Jackson seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Tiernan rolls and tries to escape and now Jackson has his back!
Jackson has one arm under Tiernan 's neck. Tiernan is controlling the other arm well. He's just looking to survive right now. Jackson manages to get his arm free though and Tiernan is in a world of trouble! Jackson sinks in the hooks and squeezes! Tiernan turns purple and then goes limp. The referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kilo Jackson!
