The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mantiega moves out of range as Motta strikes.
Mantiega tries for a takedown but Motta sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Motta blocks a low kick nicely.
Motta jabs Mantiega right on the nose. Mantiega blinks but takes it well.
Motta connects with the punch.
A big right from Motta misses.
Motta sizes up Mantiega with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Motta tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A thudding body kick lands there by Mantiega!
Motta is breathing heavily.
Mantiega misses with the combination.
Mantiega uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Mantiega cracks Motta with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mantiega has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Motta to stand back up!
Motta is rocked!
It looks like Ed Motta has been cut.
Motta takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Oh Motta is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mantiega looks to land a combination but Motta avoids it well.
Motta seems to have got his legs back now.
Motta takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mantiega lands a big right hand that sends Motta crashing to the mat! Mantiega stays standing though and waves Motta back to his feet!
Crack! A monster head kick from Mantiega and Motta falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Mantiega!
