Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kerry Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fresh Crimson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kerry Ward! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fresh Crimson! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ward tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Crimson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Crimson walks into a jab. Ward moves out of range of the strikes. Crimson throws a combination. Ward tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Ward dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ward lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Ward has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Crimson finds it's way round the side to connect with Ward's head. Crimson misses with a few strikes there.
Crimson throws a looping overhand right but Ward ducks down to avoid it. Crimson tries for a takedown but Ward sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ward misses with the combination.
Crimson on the wrong end of a nice jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ward throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Crimson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Crimson connects with a single shot there. Crimson shoots in but Ward avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ward is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ward tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Crimson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ward checks the leg kick nicely there.

Ward comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Crimson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Ward is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Crimson trying to control the action but Ward is working from the bottom. Crimson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crimson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ward keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ward avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Crimson. Ward tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Crimson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Crimson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Ward is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A combination from Ward does no damage. Crimson throws out a loose jab but Ward uses good head movement to avoid it. Kerry Ward is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Crimson throws a head kick but Ward moves out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Crimson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ward - the referee stops the clock and Crimson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ward. Crimson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Ward slips under a jab. Crimson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ward. A big right from Ward misses. Ward has closed the distance and engaged Crimson in a clinch.
Crimson is looking to break free of the clinch but Ward has double underhooks. Ward gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Crimson.
Kerry Ward has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fresh Crimson. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ward. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ward softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Crimson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Crimson is trying to drag Ward to the mat but Ward just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Ward lands a shoulder strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kerry Ward dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Crimson shoots in looking for a takedown. Ward tries to sprawl out of it but Crimson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ward manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Crimson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ward sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nice takedown defense from Ward. No joy for Crimson on that attempt. Ward works the jab nicely. Crimson circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Ward counters with a lovely shot to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ward fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Crimson, pushing him back against the cage. Crimson is breathing heavily. Ward working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Crimson takes a shot to the head. Still in the clinch, Ward scores with a nice short uppercut. Ward lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Crimson or not. Ward throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Crimsons head.

Ward lands a shoulder strike. Ward lands with a light punch inside. Ward scores with a hook to the body. Crimson misses with a punch on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ward creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Ward lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Ward is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Ward seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Kerry Ward. A big left from Ward misses. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Decent striking displayed by Ward there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crimson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Crimson throws a head kick but Ward moves out of range.

Crimson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Crimson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ward throws a big shot that misses. Crimson misses with a looping right. Crimson blocks a head kick by Ward.

Crimson drops his hands momentarily and Ward takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Crimson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ward lands with a thumping leg kick.
Crimson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ward fails with an attempt to clinch.

A big left from Crimson misses. Kerry Ward is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ward moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Ward lands a nice shot that snaps Crimson's head back.

And that's the end of the fight! Kerry Ward showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ward, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
