Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Ung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Eccleston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kevin Ung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Christopher Eccleston!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eccleston misses with a body shot.
Eccleston misses with a wild body shot.
Ung shoots in but Eccleston avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ung feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ung controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Eccleston is looking to stand back up but Ung counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Eccleston.
Eccleston is not content to let Ung control the position.

Ung is taking a breather. Eccleston says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ung seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Eccleston for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kevin Ung.

Eccleston fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ung sprawls well initially but Eccleston persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ung is concentrating on defense, preventing Eccleston from advancing position.

Ung is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Eccleston thows a huge punch but Ung dodges it nicely.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Eccleston accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ung not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ung keeping moving, preventing Eccleston from controlling successfully.
Ung wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Eccleston is now in half guard.

Ung changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eccleston tries to avoid it but Ung manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eccleston to the ground. Eccleston escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ung looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Eccleston is fending him off so far but Ung persists. Nope, Eccleston circles away and we're back to standing.
Ung fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Ung. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Eccleston throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ung with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Ung is keen to just control but Eccleston is a slippery customer.

Ung gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Ung shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Eccleston manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kevin Ung.
Eccleston tries to close the distance and clinch but Ung swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Eccleston shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Ung not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Eccleston in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Eccleston throws a strike but Ung rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Ung looking to sit in guard and control but Eccleston gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ung working for submissions but it's allowed Eccleston to get to half guard.
Eccleston is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Ung wants to improve his position but Eccleston is controlling well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Eccleston is thwarting Ung's attempts to control the position.
Eccleston with the ground and pound but Ung uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Ung avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ung looking to hit a scissor sweep but Eccleston is one step ahead there.
Ung is trying to control the position but Eccleston postures up.
Eccleston thows a big elbow that misses.

Ung is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Eccleston has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Eccleston wants to try and get back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Eccleston can do anything to dispel that myth.
Eccleston is trying to stand but he's just given Ung his back.

A lull in the action here.
Ung looking to hold on to the position here but Eccleston rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Ung controls from within his opponent's guard.

Ung stands and steps away. Eccleston gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Eccleston closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ung did well to prevent Eccleston getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eccleston winds up and cracks Ung with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ung moves into full guard.
Eccleston wants to control from the top but Ung keeps moving.
Eccleston must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ung utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Eccleston throws a strike but Ung rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kevin Ung overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ung stays in close to Eccleston's body and controls the position.
Christopher Eccleston has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ung advances position into side control!

And that's the end of the fight!
Kevin Ung showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ung, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
