Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Jackson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Peterson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Peterson throws the left hand but Jackson avoids the punch easily.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Peterson shows good takedown defense.
Peterson throws a shot from downtown. Jackson moves away and avoids it.
Jackson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Peterson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jackson feints and then cracks Peterson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Peterson down.
Peterson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.
Jackson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Peterson misses the shot to the body.
Nice shot lands for Peterson.

Jackson tries to bum rush Peterson with a series of wild strikes but Peterson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jackson seems to have recovered his senses.
Jackson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Peterson lands a nice shot that snaps Jackson's head back.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peterson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Peterson's guard.

Jackson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Peterson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jackson, into his guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jackson throws a right and a left that Peterson avoids nicely.

Peterson pushes Jackson off looking to stand but Jackson dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Peterson is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Peterson's guard.

Jackson works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Peterson tries to kick Jackson off but Jackson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jackson uses his free foot to push down on Peterson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Peterson.

Jackson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Jackson moves to the back.
Peterson has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Jackson has managed to slip his arm under Peterson's chin. This could be all over... yep, Peterson is tapping out! Submission win for Jackson.
