Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between JJ McQuade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wladmir Kararev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kararev is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Talkbox. Wladmir Kararev is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JJ McQuade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wladmir Kararev! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kararev fails with a takedown attempt. Kararev on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. McQuade lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McQuade. Kararev takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kararev looking for a takedown here - he's got it. McQuade looking to control.
McQuade looking for a sweep. Not yet McQuade, not yet. Kararev tries to free his leg and advance position but McQuade is retaining full guard. McQuade on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McQuade tries to get out of the position. McQuade can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kararev controls the pace. McQuade working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kararev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kararev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kararev's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kararev sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McQuade's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McQuade is trying to stand.
Kararev is figuring out what he wants to do next. McQuade is looking to control Kararev's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McQuade avoid being mounted? Kararev works his foot free and advances to mount. McQuade really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kararev controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kararev trying to control but he's not successful this time. McQuade wants to hold on but Kararev pushes him away. McQuade is desperately trying to improve his position but Kararev has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kararev can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McQuade is looking to escape. McQuade is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. McQuade is trying desperately to improve position. Kararev wants to control the pace but McQuade is squirming around nicely. McQuade tries to buck Kararev off but he can't manage it. Kararev controlling the position easily from mount. McQuade wants to try and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McQuade is trying to escape the mount.
Kararev trying to control but McQuade is having none of it. McQuade tries to hold on but Kararev postures up. Kararev prevents McQuade from getting the reversal. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kararev trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kararev sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wladmir Kararev dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
McQuade works over Kararev's head and body with a nice combination. Kararev doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kararev takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
McQuade scores with a nice strike. McQuade with a hook. McQuade moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Kararev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McQuade swivels and escapes. Kararev moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Kararev looks for a takedown but McQuade sprawls well. McQuade dips down and scores with a jab to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McQuade fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. McQuade throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. McQuade cracks Kararev with an open hand slap. McQuade dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kararev doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kararev is breathing heavily. McQuade lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McQuade. McQuade swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kararev. Kararev shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kararev has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kararev there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kararev is rocked! McQuade drops Kararev with a huge uppercut! Kararev drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. McQuade is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). JJ McQuade!
