Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Buxton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Ken Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Buxton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rashad Ken Anderson! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buxton shoots in but no luck this time. Anderson throws a series of punches but Buxton avoids them all with ease. Anderson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Anderson is looking to clinch but Buxton is avoiding it.
Buxton tries to clinch up but Anderson circles away and keeps his distance. Anderson fails with a takedown attempt. Anderson tries to clinch but Buxton moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson moves out of range of the body kick from Buxton.
Anderson throws a series of punches but Buxton avoids them all with ease. Anderson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Anderson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Anderson looks for a takedown but Buxton sprawls well. Robert Buxton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rashad Ken Anderson.

Buxton fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Anderson fails to land the takedown. The fight stays on the outside here - Anderson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Buxton leaves Anderson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Buxton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anderson's waist but Anderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buxton off to one side. Buxton fails with the takedown and Anderson counters with a big head kick but Buxton shrugs it off. A punch combination from Buxton misses. Buxton clinches but Anderson breaks the clinch and Anderson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buxton wants to improve his position but Anderson is controlling well.

Buxton tries to clinch up and Anderson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Anderson. Buxton pulls guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Buxton is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson wants to control from the top but Buxton keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Buxton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Anderson is aware though and is defending well. Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Buxton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Buxton can't keep his opponent in guard - Anderson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Buxton avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Anderson. Anderson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Buxton controls his leg. Anderson stops Buxton from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Buxton throws a lazy body kick and Anderson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Buxton pulls Anderson into guard.
Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Buxton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Buxton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Anderson is one step ahead there. Anderson trying to control but Buxton is working from the bottom. Anderson wants to get up but he can't break Buxton's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Buxton. Buxton clinches with his opponent.

Buxton lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Anderson backwards. Anderson gets a trip takedown into half guard. Anderson trying to mount his opponent but Buxton defends it. Buxton is looking for a sweep. Anderson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Buxton won't allow Anderson to pass to mount. Buxton manages to escape and get back to his feet! Buxton misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Anderson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson wants to control from the top but Buxton keeps moving. Buxton controlling Anderson's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Buxton has his foot on Anderson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Anderson works his way back into a safe position though. Buxton being controlled here, momentarily. Buxton keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully. Anderson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Buxton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Anderson defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anderson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Buxton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Anderson swivels and escapes. Anderson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Buxton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Anderson decides to stand back up. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Buxton lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Buxton misses with a takedown attempt - Anderson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Anderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Buxton avoids it really well and circles away. Anderson shoots for a takedown but Buxton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Buxton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Anderson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Buxton gets back to half guard. Buxton flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Robert Buxton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rashad Ken Anderson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Buxton's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Buxton duly obliges.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Robert Buxton. Well Anderson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
