The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernardini throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kroener tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bernardini bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kroener shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Bernardini looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kroener passes Bernardini's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Bernardini is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kroener pulls his head out easily.

Bernardini tries to kick Kroener off but Kroener keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Kroener misses with a takedown attempt - Bernardini sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Kroener changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bernardini tries to avoid it but Kroener manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bernardini to the ground. Bernardini escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bernardini cracks Kroener with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

Bernardini works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Horrible takedown by Kroener or perhaps it was just good defense by Bernardini which made him look bad.

and Bernardini counters with a straight right hand.

and Bernardini cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Andres Bernardini showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
