Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, AJ Foster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Len Daniels! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foster doesn't manage to clinch there - Daniels circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Foster. Foster drives through with a takedown into guard. Daniels throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Foster content to stall in guard here. Daniels is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Daniels has his foot on Foster's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Foster works his way back into a safe position though. Daniels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Foster gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Foster looking to pass the guard.

Daniels looks gassed! Foster drops back looking for a leg! Daniels is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Daniels manages to kick Foster off! Foster jumps back into Daniels's guard. Foster trying to control but Daniels is working from the bottom. Daniels has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Foster can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Daniels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Foster gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Foster trying to control but Daniels is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Daniels has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Foster is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Daniels. Foster trying to control the action but Daniels is working from the bottom. Foster working the ground and pound. Daniels is looking to reverse the position. Daniels sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Daniels looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Daniels is staying active underneath Foster, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Foster pulls his head out easily. Foster is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Foster looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Daniels looking for subs from the bottom but Foster mounts him! Daniels is squirming around, avoiding Foster's attempts to control the action. Foster lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Foster has control of Daniels's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Daniels regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Foster looking for a guillotine from mount but Daniels is having none of it. Daniels wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Foster.
Daniels tries to get back to half guard but can't. Foster is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Daniels is wriggling around trying to escape.

AJ Foster dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Daniels with a poor takedown and Foster decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Daniels's guard. Foster sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Daniels is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Foster defends well. Foster is pushing down on Daniels's leg trying to pass to half guard. Daniels is fighting to maintain full guard but Foster has managed to sneak the leg through. Daniels looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Foster working over Daniels with some ground and pound. Daniels looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Foster controlling the pace. Daniels is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Foster in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Foster is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Daniels is surviving well by controlling Foster's body position as best he can. Daniels is wriggling around trying to escape.
Daniels manages to regain half guard. Good work. The fighters are battling for position here. Daniels manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Daniels is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Foster is aware though and is defending well.

Foster tries to free his leg and advance position but Daniels is retaining full guard. Daniels has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Foster can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Daniels is looking for a triangle but Foster pushes his legs off easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Foster stuffs the takedown attempt from Daniels. Daniels gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that AJ Foster will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Daniels is working to avoid the ground and pound but Foster connects with a decent elbow. Daniels seems a little lost for a moment, as Foster dominates the positioning. Foster tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Daniels is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Foster's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Foster misses with a head kick.
Daniels tries to clinch but Foster moves away letting Foster counter with a right hand. Foster closes the distance looking to clinch and Daniels counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A frustrated look appears on Daniels's face as he tries to break the clinch. Foster looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Daniels postures up in Foster's guard and throws a big left but Foster blocks it. Foster striking off his back but it's not causing Daniels any problems. Foster trying to keep a closed guard but Daniels is proving a slippery customer.
Foster wants to sweep here but Daniels controlling him for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Foster working a defensive guard here.
Len Daniels has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! AJ Foster is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Daniels lands a couple of digs.
