Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luck Chidell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Luck Chidell has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Luck Chidell seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luck Chidell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Simon Riley! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chidell throws a nice looking combination but Riley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Chidell misses with an uppercut. Riley saw that one coming. Chidell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Riley is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Chidell's half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Riley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chidell sees it coming and defends easily. Riley misses with a head shot. Chidell uses the momentum to regain guard. Riley postures up in Chidell's guard and throws a big left but Chidell blocks it. Riley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Riley won't allow Chidell to get back to his feet. Riley scoring with punches to the head and body. Riley prevents Chidell from getting back to his feet. Riley looking to sit in guard and control but Chidell gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chidell wants to stand but Riley is controlling his posture from full guard. Riley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chidell is controlling him. Chidell wanted to stand there but Riley had control of the position. Chidell gets to his feet. Riley looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Riley shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Chidell wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley working over Chidell with some ground and pound. Chidell looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Riley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chidell with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Chidell is not content to let Riley control the position. Riley slips a nice elbow through Chidell's hands, connecting with Chidell's forehead. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Riley lands a nice short elbow. Riley is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Chidell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chidell tries to get out of the position. Riley is looking to take a break and control but Chidell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chidell regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Riley.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chidell wants to get back to his feet but Riley is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Chidell trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Riley trying to control but Chidell is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Riley shoots for a takedown but Chidell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Chidell fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Riley shoots in for a takedown but Chidell shows good takedown defense. Chidell looks to land a combination but Riley avoids it well. Chidell dips down and scores with a jab to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riley fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A combination from Chidell does no damage. Chidell throws a series of punches but Riley moves out of range. Chidell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Riley. Riley looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Chidell! Chidell somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Chidell swinging wildly here.

Chidell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Chidell throws a nice looking combination but Riley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Chidell stuffs the takedown attempt from Riley. Riley gets slowly back to his feet. Luck Chidell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Riley. Riley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chidell but Chidell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chidell lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Riley looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Chidell! Riley won't let Chidell get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Riley punishing his opponent with strikes. BOOM! Riley connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Riley postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chidell looks a forlorn figure.

He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Chidell has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Chidell! Riley keeping moving, preventing Chidell from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chidell stands and steps away. Riley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Chidell bucks up and tries to throw Riley off but instead Riley has got his back! Chidell grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Riley is landing with strikes from the back. Riley scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
