Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack OConnor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy comes into the arena with Run This Town blaring out of the sound system. Jack OConnor told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OConnor keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hardy goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
OConnor connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Nice shot by Hardy.
Hardy misses with a series of wild punches.
Hardy moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
OConnor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A head kick misses from OConnor.
Hardy scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Hardy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by OConnor.
Hardy misses with a series of wild punches.
OConnor slips a jab and a cross from Hardy.
Hardy throws a series of strikes that have OConnor backpedaling.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

OConnor is still on wobbly legs! Can Hardy finish him?
Hardy cracks OConnor with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends OConnor tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Hardy pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! OConnor is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Hardy!
