Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Bagcal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Wyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bagcal's entrance music is DMX - Bloodline Anthem. A fine choice. Wyatt has chosen Tori Amos-Sleeps with Butterflies as his entrance music. Leo Wyatt told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodney Bagcal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leo Wyatt!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bagcal keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bagcal shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wyatt defends it nicely.
Wyatt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bagcal counters with a left and a right that stings Wyatt.
Wyatt takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Wyatt with a poor takedown
and Bagcal counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Wyatt is stalling here.
Bagcal pushes off an throws an elbow but Wyatt leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
A head punch on the inside from Bagcal fails to land.
Wyatt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bagcal fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rodney Bagcal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Wyatt.
Bagcal shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wyatt decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bagcal's guard.
Wyatt looking to sit in guard and control but Bagcal gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Wyatt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bagcal's guard.
Wyatt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wyatt pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bagcal is keeping the position for now.
Bagcal is looking to sinch up a triangle. Wyatt throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bagcal's body to avoid the submission. Bagcal has instead reached around Wyatt's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bagcal arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Rodney Bagcal!
