Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andal Ampatuan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Makao Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matsumoto has chosen Sepultura - Territory as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andal Ampatuan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Makao Matsumoto! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ampatuan fails in his attempt to clinch. Matsumoto closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ampatuan to the mat! Ampatuan manages to get full guard. Matsumoto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ampatuan's guard. Ampatuan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Matsumoto on the ground. Matsumoto looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Matsumoto is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ampatuan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Matsumoto. Ampatuan trying to control here.
Matsumoto trying to control the action but Ampatuan is working from the bottom. Matsumoto is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ampatuan defends it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matsumoto controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ampatuan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Matsumoto is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ampatuan is trying to stand.
Matsumoto moves into full mount! Ampatuan won't be happy about that! Ampatuan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ampatuan tries to buck Matsumoto off but he can't manage it. Matsumoto trying to control but Ampatuan is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Matsumoto content just to control the position here. Ampatuan manages to regain half guard. Good work. Ampatuan pushes Matsumoto off looking to stand but Matsumoto dives back in and keeps control.
Matsumoto looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ampatuan wants to control but Matsumoto is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ampatuan is staying active underneath Matsumoto, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ampatuan is looking to control Matsumoto's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ampatuan avoid being mounted? Matsumoto wants to pass to mount but Ampatuan is defending the position. Matsumoto looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Matsumoto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ampatuan is just riding it out for now. Matsumoto eventually gives up the hold. Ampatuan is defending against the submission attempts here by Matsumoto.
Ampatuan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Matsumoto is working away from the top position though. Ampatuan tries to get to full guard but Matsumoto has control of the leg. Matsumoto wants to work for an arm triangle but Ampatuan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Makao Matsumoto dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ampatuan closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Makao Matsumoto has been cut. Ampatuan misses with a takedown attempt and Matsumoto decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ampatuan's guard. Matsumoto slips nicely into half guard. Matsumoto passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ampatuan! Matsumoto avoids the attempt from Ampatuan to control. Matsumoto throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Ampatuan has his hands clasped together but Matsumoto breaks the hold and Ampatuan is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Matsumoto!
