Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Larry Bart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Stoner! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bart shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bart was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bart get's back to his feet. Stoner misses with a takedown and Bart counters with a nice double leg into guard. Stoner looking for a sweep. Not yet Stoner, not yet. Bart trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bart advances position into side control! Bart scores with a couple of short elbows. Stoner wants to control but Bart postures up. Bart has control of an arm but Stoner manages to advance to Bart's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bart is holding onto Stoner's left hand, preventing any choke attempts. Stoner is controlling the position but Bart somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Stoner wants to control but Bart is keeping him busy. Stoner moves nicely into side control. Stoner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bart. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stoner trying to control the position but Bart is working away. Bart is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bart struggling a bit here. Stoner tries to stand but Bart controls the position and pulls Stoner into his guard. Stoner is fighting to break Bart's control of his arms but Bart is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bart is looking for a triangle but Stoner pushes his legs off easily.
Stoner wants to control from the top but Bart keeps moving. Bart managing to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bart is on top in guard.
Bart slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Stoner looks gassed! Stoner is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Bart is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Bart content just to control the position here. Stoner tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bart pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Bart in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Bart controlling from the full mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stoner taking shots to the head. Bart has isolated one of Stoner's arms. Stoner looking to fight him off but Bart twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
