Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rermes Gracie! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Dunne! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunne pushes Gracie up against the cage in a clinch. Dunne lands with a light punch inside. Dunne leaning his opponent against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Dunne.
Gracie drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rermes Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. A short right from Dunne on the inside. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

What can Gracie do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Dunne has the hooks in. Gracie is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Oooh a big shot gets through from Dunne. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Dunne lands a shot to the body. Dunne lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Will Dunne go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Despite being in the dominant position, David Dunne just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dunne fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gracie sprawls well initially but Dunne persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gracie actively working from the bottom here. Well, if Dunne is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dunne lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Dunne dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dunne clinches up with Gracie and pushes him back against the cage. Gracie goes for a takedown attempt but Dunne pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Gracie with a lazy takedown attempt letting Dunne counter with a right hand. Dunne takes the fight into the clinch. Gracie goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dunne prevents it.

The killer instinct kicks in and Dunne finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Dunne!
