Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Omar London! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Martin! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, David Schapiro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
London shoots in for a takedown but Martin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The fight stays on the outside here - London looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Martin keeps the fight on the outside. London fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Martin avoids it really well and circles away. Martin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Martin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. London doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Martin. Martin is working for a submission of some sort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin is keen to just control but London is a slippery customer. Martin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Martin seems to be working for a kimura but London defends the submission attempt. Martin blocks the strikes from London.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Martin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Martin looks gassed! London trying to control from the bottom.
Martin wants to control but London is keeping him busy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. London lands with a kick to the ribs.
Omar London seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. London doesn't succeed with the takedown and Martin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for London! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Omar London. That's going to take a lot out of him. London tries to lock up and control but Martin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Martin working for a guillotine from mount but London is in no mood to give up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin avoids the attempt from London to control. London avoids a series of strikes thrown by Martin.
London swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. London tries to buck Martin off but he can't manage it. Martin throwing strikes here but London is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. London throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Martin raining down shots from the mount! London is trying to stand. Martin stands up from mount. Strange move. Martin moves into range and clinches up with London. Martin drops down looking for an ankle pick but London pulls his leg out and moves away.
London lands a right hook to the body.
London tries to clinch but fails miserably and Martin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Martin dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
London closes the distance looking to clinch and Martin counters with a shoot takedown. London fights it but they end up in guard. London throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Martin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. London is keeping the position for now. Martin is looking to advance position but London has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! London sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Martin throwing hammer fists to the chest of London. What's that going to do exactly? Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. London thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. London looking to ground and pound but Martin is blocking nicely. Martin wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by London.
Martin is trying to escape the mount.
London thowing shots but they're missing. Martin is squirming around, avoiding London's attempts to control the action. Martin regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. London trying to control from half guard but Martin is working away. Martin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Martin. Martin looking to hit a scissor sweep but London is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. London passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. London throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. London prevents Martin from improving his position. London is looking to advance position but Martin won't allow it. Martin manages to get to full guard.
London has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. London slips nicely into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. London thumps the canvas. London stops Martin from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Martin tries to roll over but London keeps him under control. Martin actively working from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Martin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
London throws a series of punches but Martin moves out of range. London with a poor takedown and Martin counters with a single leg into guard. London didn't expect that. Martin passes London's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jeff Martin has got the better of the ground game so far. London tries to get to full guard but Martin has control of the leg. Martin wants to work for an arm triangle but London is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
London is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. London has hold of Martin's hands but Martin slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin not doing much here.
Martin is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Martin dominating with strikes here. Martin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. London can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
London's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. London can't escape the position.
Martin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as London is looking to escape. Martin scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin wants to take London's back here but London is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
BOOM! Martin connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Martin lands a nice shot to the head. London tries to lock up and control but Martin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Martin wants to finish this one by submission but London is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Martin. BOOM! Martin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that's the end of the fight! Jeff Martin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Martin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
