Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Bower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Jaeger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bower comes to the cage accompanied by Triple H Theme Song. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Bower! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Jaeger! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaeger tries a head kick but it misses.
Jaeger throws a sloppy head kick and Bower moves out of range easily. Bower throws a body punch but Jaeger moves out of range. Bower changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jaeger looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Jaeger is trying to control Bower's posture but Bower avoids it. The ground and pound from Bower seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Jaeger is trying to control Bower's posture but Bower avoids it. Jaeger parries the strikes from Bower easily there. Bower is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jaeger to escape.
Bower working the ground and pound. Bower tries to advance to mount but Jaeger denies him. You can see the frustration on Jaeger's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jaeger is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaeger tries to get to full guard but Bower has control of the leg. Jaeger works his way to full guard. Good work. Bower tries to free his leg and advance position but Jaeger is retaining full guard. Jaeger trying to control the position.
Bower looking to sit in guard and control but Jaeger gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bower avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jaeger wants to control from the top but Bower keeps moving. Bower looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jaeger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jaeger misses with a takedown attempt and Bower cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jaeger forces Bower back against the cage and clinches. Bower is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Bower has Jaeger pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bower pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jaeger tumbling to the mat - Bower dives into Jaeger's guard. Bower throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bower throws a big right hand that misses. Jaeger not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Bower lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jaeger has his hands on Bower's head, controlling the position. Jaeger working a defensive guard but Bower passes into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bower winds up and cracks Jaeger with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Jaeger punching from the bottom.
Bower trying to control from half guard but Jaeger is working away. Jaeger moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bower got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jaeger has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bower has managed to get both his arms back between Jaeger's legs - danger averted. Bower postures up in Jaeger's guard and throws a big left but Jaeger blocks it. Jaeger wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Bower throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jaeger works some decent striking defense from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bower dives in and grabs Jaeger's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jaeger pushes down on Bower's head and hops out. Jaeger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bower looks to land a combination but Jaeger avoids it well. Jaeger lands with a nice body kick. Bower lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Jaeger slips a jab from Bower. Jaeger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bower swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jaeger throws a sloppy head kick and Bower moves out of range easily. Jaeger shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bower but Bower pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bower fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jaeger manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bower throws a lazy head kick and Jaeger counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jaeger drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bower dives on top into guard. Jaeger wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bower is now in half guard. Bower not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jaeger is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bower pulls his head out easily. Jaeger is breathing heavily. Jaeger wants to control but Bower is keeping busy and won't allow it. Bower slips a nice elbow through Jaeger's hands, connecting with Jaeger's forehead. Bower lands with a punch from half guard. Jaeger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bower is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bower is nestled in close to Jaeger, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Jaeger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bower sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jaeger defending well though. Jaeger wants to stand back up but Bower manages to pass into side control.
Bower in side control lands a decent elbow. Bower working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Dave Bower overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bower misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Bower is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Bower not landing any meaningful shots this time. Bower is working for a kimura but Jaeger is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bower is keen to just control but Jaeger is a slippery customer.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bower misses with a hook. Bower throws a series of punches but Jaeger moves out of range. Jaeger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jaeger tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bower swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bower avoids the head kick by Jaeger.
Bower lands a right hook to the body.
Jaeger slips under a jab from Bower. Bower shoots in and bounces Jaeger off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jaeger wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bower is now in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bower is trying to maintain the position but Jaeger is very close to passing his half guard. Jaeger working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bower tries to roll over but Jaeger keeps him under control.

Jaeger goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Jaeger slips a straight right by Bower. Travis Jaeger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jaeger shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bower defends it nicely. Jaeger slips a jab from Bower. Bower throws a hook but Jaeger avoids it easily. Bower jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bower scores with a hook to the body. Jaeger takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Bower checks a leg kick. Bower moves out of range of the body kick. Bower throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

A right-left combo lands from Bower. Bower takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bower throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jaeger. Bower throws a lazy right hand but Jaeger sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jaeger is looking to clinch. Bower closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jaeger tries to buck Bower off but Bower is having none of it. Jaeger regains half guard.

Bower pushing down on Jaeger's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jaeger avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bower. Jaeger gets full guard. Jaeger is looking to sinch up a triangle. Bower throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jaeger's body to avoid the submission. Jaeger has instead reached around Bower's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jaeger arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
